Gordon Brown urges Labour supporters not to switch sides

GORDON Brown pleaded for a second chance yesterday as he admitted: "I know I'm not perfect."


[The PM urged fed-up Labour supporters to take a "long hard look" at the Tories before they decide to switch votes. He confessed his three years in power had been littered with mistakes but insisted he is the best man to stand up for ordinary folk.]

It is not just his three years that have been littered with mistakes; it’s also the ten years of that lunatic Blair. Between them they have sold the UK to Europe, and put the UK in billions of pounds worth of debt. I think littered with mistakes is an understatement, it’s a bloody shambles, and both of the Jock infiltrators should be hung for treason and sabotage.

[Mr Brown declared: "My message to the people of Britain today is simple. I know Labour hasn't done everything right. And I know - really, I know - that I'm not perfect.]

Now that has to be the first true words that has come out of his mouth in the three years as PM, and the thirteen the Labour have been in government.

If he knows where he came from, he should fuck off back to Scotland and leave the English to mess up their own country, I am thinking of joining the English Liberation Party, there is bound to be one in the elections. He is nothing like the mainstream majority, the mainstream majority don’t get expenses to live on that are paid for by others taxes.

If this burbling lunatic had not put the country in a slump, put 2.5 million on the dole and social security, gave the country £848 billion of national debt, and thought of the many before he and his pirates calling themselves MPs, filled their pockets with expenses. Then he would have no fucking themes to fight the elections on, the Jock saboteur.

Who cares? You're just on another rant again. Your Little England views are completely irrelevant in modern England as well as in Britain as a whole. An English Liberation Party would probably be the only kind of political movement that could encompass opinions like those. Go ahead and waste your vote - it wouldn't be wanted anyway.

By the way, in case you hadn't noticed, and in order to rub salt into an obviously sore wound, I would point out that if Brown goes, Cameron will come in. Mr Cameron, for all his refined tones, his expensive suits and his Home Counties background, is only one generation removed from his Scottish antecedents. His English birthplace and his Eton/Oxford education cannot disguise the fact that he comes from one of Scotland's most influential familes.

So the choice isn't Scottish Rule or English Rule, but whether England could justify an Assembly along the lines of the one in Wales, and whether the real affairs of State should be conducted in Holyrood rather than Westminster.

Don’t insult me and make me out to be a racist MMI you haven’t got the right, and it is easy to do that hiding behind a big Avatar. I think it is time you had a reality check, my views are only as irrelevant as your attitude and contempt for anyone other than you with a valid opinion. As a matter of interest I have a lot of friends that are Scottish that live in England and they don’t like Blair and Brown either, I have nothing against the Scottish as a whole I think the majority are very friendly people. Dear o dear did you find that out for your benefit or mine, let me reiterate I am half Scottish and I already knew that which you have pointed out, and that is why I know the song [The Cameron’s are coming] and before you try to tell me why. I do know Scottish history.

Judging from your posts, you're anti-Scottish, despite claiming to have a few Scots friends - remember, when a Jock is fu' he'll be friends with anyone; you're anti-European - you seem to think that the British way of life is something other EU nations want to destroy; you're opposed to poor countries claiming foreign aid ... But maybe you're not racist. Perhaps I misinterpreted the slurs you have made against so many nations on these boards, so I withdraw the racist charge unequivocally and with my apologies.

Your attacks on Blair and Brown that litter so many threads here seem to be based more on their nationality than on their betrayal of Labour's socialist principles, which is where the treachery you accuse them of can really be found. The fact they are Scots is a mere accident of birth and Blair would still be the deceitful, Thatcherite, money grubbing ego-maniac that he is had he been the Englishman he mimics, and Brown would stilll be a smarmy foul-tempered prig wherever he had been born. He would fuck up no matter what country he presided over, and maybe its better that he fucks up in a nation in decline than in an important country with a real future ahead of it.

I have no fear of other races creeds or religions, and niether am I anti Scottish, nor am I racist, and as you have nothing better to do but slate me, I will no longer be partisipating in any post on Politics, Religion or World events on this site.

I have little wish to pursue this topic any further than necessary, in PM or on the boards, with you, or anyone else, but I do think think it relevant to state here that I have withdrawn the charge of racism both publicly (see post number 6) and privately, because there was no evidence. I found the suggestions made in the OP particularly offensive and I over-reacted.

I cannot undo what was done, but in most circumstances where a false allegation has been made, withdrawal with an apology is sufficient amends. You, however, have the power to delete the offending remark, as you know. I leave it to your discretion whether to do so or not. At the time of posting this message, you have let it stand for over 22 hours.

I have to agree with MMI's post above and the matter is at a closure, and after private talks the status quo is as it should be. I leave anything that needs to be done to whoever wants to do it, but as MMI said in the above, it would be a waste of time now, so let it die a death.
