thank you very much.
i really enjoyed writing it. i have plans to take it further - i've always been one to think that i could write a book...lol...maybe this will be it!
Aussiegirl, to answer your question for my next assignment...
i didn't mind doing the story without spellcheck or anything. i am usually pretty good with spelling and grammar so was not too concerned about it. For me, the hardest part is finding a way to make the story flow and ensuring that my sentences read the way i intend them to read. As far as i know, there is no program that can help you with that!
i am still pretty new to writing - publicly, at least - and so i find that i read and re-read my work a ton regardless. i don't think not having spell check caused me to read it anymore than i would have anyways.
i do think that this is a worthwhile activity to do for a few reasons:
- it makes you pay close attention to what you are writing and how you are saying it. For me, this was more so in this assignment than past ones because i was not using anything to show me run on sentences, etc.
- i think that any time we remove ourselves from the convenience of computers and go back to the basics we learned as kids, its a good opportunity for growth, as weird as that may sound.
thank you Aussiegirl for this assignment. i am looking forward to continuing my story at some time. My idea for the plot is for Tasha to end up at the mercy of a controlling superstar - one that everyone knows but no one knows about this side of. i have every intention of turning it into a lifestyle story but i wanted there to be some lead in to it, development of characters and stuff so that when it goes into the relationship part of it, there would be some understanding there. i would be curious to know if you think that will work with what you see there.
thanks again,
