    I hope it helps.
Jae, if you use an online translation program, it would be best to send Darek the English original and the German translation.
    1. He has two chances to understand.
    2. He gets to have a good laugh at online translation.
    3. He can tell you what it got wrong and you learn more.

I have looked for, but could not find easily, a free English-Polish translation site.

Again I can't speak for the accuracy (these programs are often too literal to be useful) but here is a free online English-Polish translator. http://www.poltran.com/

This is a translation by a German who worked as a translator for several years. The German original itself is not flawless, by the way; one can tell the writer's native tongue is not German:
"I am from Poland and don't speak English that well. Now I am writing in German. Your novel was one of the best I ever read. Thank you.
    Darek"

To jaeangel: For German-English translations or vice versa faithfully turn to us. I (Friede) was a professional translator for several years and translated a lot of books during that time. As long as the text to be translated is of reasonable length, say one or two pages, I'll gladly help. But I won't tackle epics without a fee. Not because I am greedy, but because it would significantly eat into my spare time, and I would like to get something in return for my time and efforts.

    Yours
    Jean and Friede
