I agree that you just start to get into it and then it's over...kind of "anticlimactic". But I do think they have a place. I love a good long story. I was fascinated with "To Obey" even though parts of it got into areas that did nothing for me sexually. BUT, there are times when I only have a few minutes free and enjoy the short story.

The REALLY extreme stuff is out of my league too. It's fun to read about, but I don't think I could do that to someone I love. I once dated a girl who had serious scars on her back from whipping. She loved it and wanted to be whipped until she was a "bloody mess". Not my thing. She was a very petite and extremely pretty girl too. Never would have figured her for that...

Just goes to show that all fetishes, even the extremes, have their place.
