This one was hard, because I really wanted to like it. It hit a number of my kinks, had a decent and simple plot, and the writing was decent.
The problem is that, for the most part, it reads as a simple in and out story--all description and no character. Sure, there is some characterization there, but not enough for me to give this a better rating. (6/10)
