I know what you mean about it being hard to write from a different perspective! When I posted my first few stories on the Library forum, I was sure someone would call me a fraud. I kept waiting for someone to tell me that I knew nothing about BDSM, as at that time my only experience with it was stories I had read or videos I had seen.

What I found was that most people who reviewed my stories, commented on the mood of the story and the characters. I soon realised no one was an expert, nor did they expect me to be one. What they did want was to be entertained and moved by the story they were reading.

What I am trying to say is to just do what feels right for you and write because it makes you happy. I think you did an excellent job with this piece and you certainly show that you care a lot about your work. As Mad said, be happy with what you have done, accept the praise and move on. Feel proud of doing such a great job, especially one that was not easy to do. I look forward to your next piece of writing.
